Data protection

Your privacy is important to K&K Swiss AG, Via Sant' Abbondio 59, CH-6577 Ranzo (hereinafter: "we" or "us"). The protection of the data that you provide to us and its security and confidential treatment are our highest principles. We would like to take this opportunity to explain to you to what extent and for what purposes personal data is collected and used when you use our online services and how we protect your data on our website.

1. personal data

Personal data is individual information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your real name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth. According to the case law of the European Court of Justice, it can be assumed that the IP address also qualifies as personal data. This is a sequence of numbers that is usually assigned to you automatically and regularly (dynamically) by your provider. This IP address is necessary to make an Internet-enabled device addressable and thus usable for the Internet.

Data is not personal if it cannot be used to identify a person. For example, the number of visitors to our website or comparable summarized data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual visitors.

Apart from the following regulations, we will not pass on your personal data to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation incumbent on us.

The scope and type of collection and use of your personal data differs depending on whether you visit our website only to retrieve information or to make use of the services we offer.

2. collection of usage data

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits various data that are necessary to enable you to visit our website. This data contains information about the operating system you are using, the browser you are using, the content accessed, the time our website was accessed, the website you previously visited (so-called "referrer") and the amount of data transferred to you. This data is stored by our web server in the so-called log files. As a rule, it is not possible to establish a personal reference with this data.

When you visit our website, your IP address, which can be used to identify you, is also transmitted to us.

This data transmitted to us is also stored and processed in the log file for error analysis and statistical purposes. Personal user profiles are not created. The above-mentioned data is only evaluated for statistical purposes for the optimization of our online store.

3. registration of a customer account, order processing

When you register with K&K Swiss AG, the following personal data is collected:

- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Password

The personal data you provide during registration is used by us to set up a customer account, i.e. it is collected, processed and used or passed on. The personal data will only be stored for the period in which you are registered with us.

To process the order, it is also necessary for you to provide the following data:
- Company (opt)
- Billing and delivery address (street, house number, address suffix (opt), zip code, city)
- Country
- Telephone

This data is required for the processing of the purchase contract concluded between you and the seller on our platform.

We pass on your order data to the seller with whom you conclude a purchase contract on our platform. The seller will in turn pass on your data to external service providers (e.g. logistics companies, forwarding agents) to process the contractual relationship. Your data will only be passed on for the aforementioned purpose and will not be processed outside the European Union.

If you have created a customer account, your data will be available for future purchases in our online store. Naturally, a query about the stored data is made during each order process.

You can object to the further use of customer data at any time by e-mail, in writing or by telephone. Our contact details and further information on your right to object can be found below in section 12.

In the event of your objection, your customer account will be deleted unless the data is absolutely necessary for the processing of orders placed.

4. order as a guest

If you place an order as a guest, i.e. without using a user account and or without prior registration, you must provide the following data:

- First name

- Last name

- Company (opt)

- Billing and delivery address (street, house number, address suffix (opt), zip code, city)

- Country

- E-mail address

- Telephone number

We need the first and last name, as well as the billing and delivery address or the seller to process your order. We use the e-mail address to send you an order confirmation and to enable us to contact you if we have any questions about your order.

You can also voluntarily provide us with the company name of the ordering company - if applicable - and a telephone number. The company can be used as an additional address or for the invoice, while providing a telephone number makes it easier for us to contact you if we have any queries about your order.

In order to process your order, we will forward the specified data to the seller of the product you have selected.

5. payment processing

We do not collect and process your bank and payment data. Payment processing takes place exclusively via the respective seller or a service provider commissioned by the seller, such as "Paypal".

6. Newsletter

In addition to the registration of a customer account and the processing of orders, we would like to occasionally send you interesting news and information about our company and our range of goods and services in the form of our newsletter by email based on your data - of course only if you explicitly consent to this at a separate point.

In order to be able to register for our newsletter, we require your email address to which the newsletter is to be sent in addition to your separate consent under data protection law.

We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending the newsletter, i.e. we will only send you the newsletter if you confirm your registration beforehand via a confirmation e-mail sent to you for this purpose using a link contained therein. This is to ensure that only you, as the owner of the email address provided, can subscribe to the newsletter. You must confirm this within 48 hours of receiving the confirmation email, otherwise your newsletter registration will be automatically deleted from our database.

You can give your consent to receive the newsletter separately when you register for our newsletter. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future and thus unsubscribe from the newsletter. To do so, you can either send us an informal email to the email address below or cancel your subscription using the "Unsubscribe" link at the end of the newsletter. Our contact details and further information on your right of withdrawal can be found below under point 9.

7. cookies

We use so-called "cookies" on our website. These are small files that are stored on your PC. They enable us to store specific information relating to you, the user, in connection with the use of our website. These cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website, as well as to make our services as convenient and efficient as possible for you.

The cookies we use can be divided into technically necessary and technically unnecessary cookies. Technically necessary cookies are those that are absolutely necessary for the use of all functionalities of our website. Without these, error-free use of our website cannot be guaranteed. Non-technically necessary cookies are, for example, those that allow us to make the website more user-friendly. These cookies also help us to analyze user behavior with regard to our website.

Cookies have a specific lifespan, i.e. they remain stored on your computer for a certain period of time unless you delete them. The so-called "session cookies" are deleted immediately after closing the browser, while the so-called "permanent or persistent cookies" remain stored on your computer even after the end of your visit to our website and are not automatically deleted when you close the browser. However, the "permanent cookies" we use are automatically deleted after 2 years at the latest.

You can prevent the use of cookies that are not technically necessary by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. You can find out more about this in the help option of the browser you are using.

8. web analysis and advertising programs

The following web analysis and advertising services are used on our website

Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analyzed. These cookies used by Google Analytics can be both temporary and persistent cookies, the maximum lifespan of which generally does not exceed two years. The information generated by these cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

We have added the program code "anonymizeIp" to Google Analytics on this website in order to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). IP anonymization means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to a Google server in the USA. Only in exceptional cases, over which we have no control, will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software (see section 6). Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link It is also possible to prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics by setting an opt-out cookie. To do this, please click on the following link: Deactivate Google Analytics.

You can find more information on terms of use and data protection at or at

Google Adwords
We use the online advertising program Google AdWords from Google Inc. to draw the attention of potential users and customers to our website. Google Adwords places a cookie on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google advertisement. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that someone has clicked on the ad and been redirected to our website. Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by preventing the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly (deactivation option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Further information and Google's privacy policy can be found at,

With regard to the personal data we have collected about you, you have the right to information at any time as to whether and what data we have stored about you, what the purpose of this storage is, where this data comes from, and whether and to whom this data is forwarded.

We endeavor to ensure that the personal data we store is factually correct and, if necessary, up to date. However, if we have stored incorrect personal data about you, you can request that we correct this data.

In exceptional cases, your data may be blocked instead of corrected or deleted if neither the accuracy nor the inaccuracy of the data can be determined, or if deletion is prevented, for example, by statutory retention periods.

If the storage of your data is inadmissible or if your data is no longer required for the fulfillment of a specific task, we will delete your data.

In individual cases, you can also object to the processing of your data if the processing is lawful. This is possible if, due to a particular personal situation, you have an interest in the data not being processed and this interest outweighs our interest in the data processing.
